Overview

GeForce Now is the closest thing to having a high-end gaming PC streamed to whatever screen you happen to be near. Because it streams games you already own, you avoid the lock-in of a curated catalog — but you also depend on NVIDIA negotiating with each publisher for support.

Ultimate on a 4K OLED is wild. Cyberpunk path tracing on a TV that doesn't have a real GPU? Yes please.

Most of my Steam library works. The few unsupported games are annoying but the experience itself is excellent.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel GeForce Now anytime?

Yes. Both Performance and Ultimate are month-to-month — cancel from your NVIDIA account at any point and you keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Do I have to buy games again on GeForce Now?

No. GeForce Now streams games you already own on Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, Xbox PC and EA. You sign in with your existing storefront accounts.

What internet speed do I need for GeForce Now Ultimate?

NVIDIA recommends 35 Mbps for 4K/120, 25 Mbps for 1440p/120 and 15 Mbps for 1080p/60. In our testing, actual throughput is usually 20–30% below the recommended figure.

Does every Steam game work on GeForce Now?

No. NVIDIA negotiates support per publisher, so a small minority of Steam games are unsupported. The official supported game list is searchable from inside the app.

Is there a free GeForce Now tier?

Yes, the Free tier limits sessions to 1 hour, queues you behind paid users at peak times and caps quality at basic rigs. It's a fine way to test latency from your network before subscribing.
