How we make money, plainly
Independent doesn't mean free to run. Here's the honest picture of how Cloud Gaming Expert is funded and what it does — and doesn't — do for advertisers.
Editorial independence
- We do not accept payment for placement on any ranked list, comparison table, or guide.
- We do not let advertisers preview reviews or request changes before publication.
- Our scoring weights are documented on the methodology page and applied uniformly.
- Free trial credits or comp accounts offered by providers are declined; testing is done on standard, paid consumer subscriptions.
Affiliate links
When we link to a service we have reviewed, the link may be an affiliate link. If you sign up after clicking, the provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links never affect the rating a service receives, the ranking it appears in, or whether it shows up in a comparison. Services that do not offer an affiliate program at all (currently PlayStation Plus Premium) are reviewed on the same terms as those that do.
All affiliate links are tagged with rel="sponsored"per Google's webmaster guidelines.
Display advertising
We do not currently run banner or display ads. If we ever do, they will be clearly labelled and visually distinct from editorial content.
Sponsored content
We do not publish sponsored articles, sponsored guides, or sponsored comparison tables. If this ever changes, the article will carry a prominent Sponsored label in the header and will be excluded from rankings.
